This borrowed land shold be redeveloped as a riverfront plaza and companion piece to Festival Park. The possibility of reorienting business to this deck, and using the space for programmed activities that are best served by large paved areas would be an important component in reanimating the Cente City. (Elgin Riverfront/Center City Master Plan)
this deck will bring needed parking spaces to the downtown area. It has been out of commission for many years and needs to be repaired and finally used to increase the downtown re-vitalization so badly needed.
