[edit] General Description

The Fayette County Courthouse houses the Lexington History Museum, a vital instrument in the preservation of Lexington and Fayette County's culture and heritage. Renovations to the building's HVAC system are needed to ensure that these irreplaceable artifacts are not damaged and destroyed by the drastically fluctuating temperature and humidity the facility currently experiences. Please support the Lexington History Museum by voting in favor of the Fayette County Courthouse. --Keegan Frank 18:03, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

"If you could...vote for the Fayette County Courthouse, the Lexington History Museum would be able to do major renovations and create roughly 90 jobs for the downtown area." [From lexingtonhistory.wordpress.com]

[edit] Points in Favor

A new HVAC system means better preservation of historical documents and artifacts. The items that the Lexington History Museum houses in its storage rooms are extremely sensitive to fluctuations in humidity and temperature, which the museum experiences frequently throughout the year. If the museum is able to control humidity and temperature levels with a new HVAC system, they will be saving Lexington history from irreparable damage.
