Wiki Description

[edit] General Description

Miami-Dade Transit proposes to construct approximately 10 - 13 mile Metrorail extension from the Miami Intermodal Center (MIC) at Miami International Airport (MIA) to Florida International University (FIU) and points west to SW 137th Avenue. The project will include up to ten Metrorail stations with an estimated cost of $2.281 billion in year-of-expenditure (YOE) dollars. A Build alternative consisting of an extension of Metrorail service west from the MIC will be evaluated against a No-Build and a Baseline/Transportation System Management (TSM) alternative.
