Edit the Wiki Description (editing policy)
Infiltration and Inflow studies are conducted to find leaks in sanitary sewer systems. Identifying those problems enables pinpoint repairs to be made, reducing unnecessary treatment of rain or groundwater in the sewage treatment plant - saving money. Those repairs also eliminate sewage leaving the system through the same channels of infiltration- keeping raw sewage out of the lagoon and the ocean. $500,000 is a very reasonable price for a system of that size.
