[edit] Points in Favor
This covers Powers from Hwy 83 to I-25, which currently is basically untouched prairie (at least the roadway portion). It would have been done years ago if CDOT had the money.
This project should be done because it is a well traveled area and better roads will reduce damages to the individual car, as well as other cars in the event of a car accident.
Why do we need more spending? To FINISH it of course. This would split the traffic coming into Colorado Springs. Those wanting to be on the east side will take it instead of finding a route east off I25 as they do now. It should reduce the traffic coming into Colorado Springs on I25. Might not even need to widen I25.
Don't forget, there is a lot more traffic going out east to Falcon, Banning Lewis Ranch etc. these days....
[edit] Points Against
This project is already 85% finished. Why do we need more spending for it?
